Free School Of began in 2021 with the thought that perhaps the best education happens when you overhear insightful strangers on a train. A conversation with no clear beginning or end. Unless you miss your stop. Its Instagram feed is where these conversations are announced in real time.

Anyway, it is a school only in that sense.

There is no curriculum, no correct sequence and no requirement to reach agreement. Conversation is treated as a form of knowledge.

The conversations are long enough for the rehearsed answer to stop working.

A question changes what can be remembered. A pause changes what can be imagined. A contradiction may reveal an uncertain truth. Free School Of challenges dogmas and explores contradictions. It is therefore inconclusive and uncertain.

At the heart of the school is a curiosity about creative processes, the boundaries between disciplines and the ways established hierarchies between emerging and established voices might become platforms for learning.

Free School Of was founded by Marko Milovanovic and is produced by Mylomark Design, Production and Publishing.
